Here’s another general update on my current projects – only this one holds a significance that no other update from me ever has before.
With the Coronavirus situation being what it is – my school just announced at the beginning of this week that we’re moving over to studying remotely – I decided to relocate to live with my parents indefinitely. I still have my apartment and intend to keep it as long as I can, but I won’t have access to any of the stuff that’s still over there. In addition, I’m not at all sure when I’ll be able to return, particuarly with public transport across Finland apparently stopping entirely next week. All these factors considered, this will quite obviously affect some of the things you’ve seen me doing.
Out of my personal projects, the one that my relocation affects the most is the new The Santtu Pesonen Project album. Without immediate access to my gear, I’m simply unable to work on it as far as actual production is concerned. Which is a shame since I only just managed to start on that not too long ago. My other projects, namely Gomorrah, won’t be affected as much by it, though.
Another thing affected by my relocation is my livestreams (which I got back to doing regularly a while ago). Due to the Internet not working quite as well at my current location as back at my apartment, the livestreams are most likely to be on hold for the foreseeable future. I’ll run a test livestream or two in the coming days to see if it’s actually feasible – if not, they likely won’t happen until I either return to my apartment or move to another one elsewhere.
It should go without saying that I’m uncertain as to how long these new circumstances will last. Pretty much the only thing I can do is hope for the best.
Thank you and stay safe.
